Biography
I am an occupational therapist. I specialize in brain injury and neurological rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, helping hospitalized patients regain function, independence and confidence as they recover from complex neurological conditions and injuries.
As a credentialed inpatient occupational therapist and certified brain injury specialist at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I provide individualized rehabilitation services for patients with brain injuries and other neurological conditions. I work closely with patients and their care teams to address the physical, cognitive and functional challenges that can affect daily living and quality of life.
I believe rehabilitation is most effective when care is personalized to each patient's goals and circumstances. My approach emphasizes practical strategies and therapeutic interventions that help patients maximize their independence, build confidence and successfully transition to the next stage of recovery. I am committed to supporting patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process while helping them achieve meaningful improvements in everyday function.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Lisa Sewell has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
