About Me
My professional interests include ultrasound applications in procedures, medical education, and social media. I'm an assistant professor of emergency medicine and former ultrasound fellow at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I enjoy mentoring medical students and residents through the residency application process as well as career choices.
I graduated from Miami University with a degree in zoology and minor in neuroscience and continue to be active in undergraduate recruitment activities for the university. The next part of my education was completed at The University of Toledo College of Medicine, where I earned an MD. I completed a residency in emergency medicine at The Ohio State University, where I was one of three residents from the medical center honored with The Ohio State House Staff Excellence in Teaching Award (2013) by the Ohio State College of Medicine Class of 2013, and one of six residents from the medical center honored with a Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award (2013) chosen by 3rd and 4th year medical students. I was also awarded the House Staff Collegiality Award (2013) for being well known by my peers for routinely exhibiting attributes of collegiality and professionalism.
My hobbies include travel, photography, recreational sports participation, and being a Cleveland sports enthusiast.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Sahlani has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
