This is specifically about Dr. Atai and not my usual PCP I was hoping for understanding, reassurance, or at least a plan to investigate the cause further. Instead, I left feeling unheard and brushed off.I understand that some back pain can be common, but the way this was communicated made me feel that my symptoms and discomfort weren't taken seriously. I hope the provider can be more empathetic and listen to patients' concerns rather than minimizing their experience. He also said don't expect this to go away in a day or two so this is gonna take a while. How is this normal to say to a patient who is experiencing so much pain and numbness and tingling sensation all over the lower body to say just live your life like this and we cannot really investigate further until you go to physical therapy. I couldn't even sit down for my appointment. I kept standing in the room to tell them that how much pain I was in. I drove to my appointment and it was so hard to just hear this from a provider. It was very sad.
