For more than 20 years, I have been a practicing physician in emergency medicine, which has given me the opportunity to treat patients with life-altering conditions. I graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine with a MD degree. After that, I completed a residency in emergency medicine at Wright State University and a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm proud to be board certified in emergency medicine along with hyperbaric and undersea medicine.
I'm a professor of emergency medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine. I direct a research laboratory which is focused on finding improvements to patient care relating to myocardial ischemia, reperfusion and cardiac arrest.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 12/20/2018, Dr. Angelos has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
