Biography

I am a board-certified adult-geriatric nurse practitioner (AGNP) since 2014, specializing in palliative medicine at the OSUCCC – James and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center since 2015. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at The Ohio State University, spending 21 years at the bedside in various clinical settings including bone marrow transplant, the cardiovascular intensive care unit, a community clinical oncology program enrolling patients into clinical trials and Labor and Delivery. I then obtained my Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN) from the University of Cincinnati, spending my entire nurse practitioner (NP) career here at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in the Division of Palliative Medicine.

My years of bedside nursing, coupled with my 11-plus years as a part of the palliative medicine team have given me the background and expertise to provide compassionate, evidenced-based care for patients and families living with serious illnesses.

I work collaboratively with physicians, social workers and palliatively trained pharmacists to provide the most innovative and individually tailored care plans for each patient’s unique preferences, values and goals.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am active in mentoring and educating nurse practitioner students, new advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary team members. I am passionate about fostering professional growth, promoting evidence-based practice and helping develop the next generation of healthcare professionals. I also participate in education, quality improvement initiatives and research efforts aimed at advancing the field of palliative care and enhancing patient outcomes.
