Biography
As a general cardiologist, I treat patients with coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, valvular disease and heart failure. I perform non-invasive diagnostic procedures including nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). I like to engage with patients and provide extensive details concerning their treatment, and I am careful to explain why specific recommendations are made. Even as a specialist, I recommend regularly scheduled appointments during the course of treatment to ensure the patient is responding positively to his or her treatment plan.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center devotes many resources to supporting the latest medical research. I enjoy working here because I’m able to offer my patients access to cutting-edge research and the highest quality care available. Ohio State also gives me the opportunity to train the next generation of cardiovascular physicians. I enjoy working with our residents, and especially our cardiology fellows.
I have a background in music, so my husband and I are very active in the music and arts community. We enjoy traveling as much as time allows, as well as cycling and walking our golden retriever, Scarlet.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

I love Dr Breckenridge. She was my husband's cardiologist and I trust her completely. She's very caring and willing to talk with me about anything.
Always listens carefully to my issues and we talk things out.
I am very nervous at doctors appointments. Dr. Breckenridge puts me at ease. She is easy to talk to.
Always good
Like her very much.
Dr. Breckenridge always tells me exactly what she is thinking about my health issues. She let's me make up my mind on changes or testing she feels necessary for my continued good heslth.
Lack of empathy Definitely seemed to just order a procedure and get out. BrashInitially, resistant to explaining anything. When I asked questions about WHY I needed the procedure, she immediately replied I can go get a second opinion if I want to. Definitely a lack of empathy
