Biography
I am Mary Massie-Story, MD, and I specialize in family medicine and primary care at The Ohio State University Community Primary Care in Hilliard. My practice focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management and building long-term relationships with patients and families.
Caring for others has always felt natural to me and inspired my decision to pursue a career in medicine. Throughout my career I have cared for patients from vulnerable communities. This experience has renforced my belief that healthcare is about more than just diagnosing and treating illness.
A patient-centered approach recognizes that environmental and social factors can affect a person's access to healthcare, understanding of health information and trust in the healthcare system. I strive to meet each patient where they are, listen carefully to their concerns and partner with them to achieve their health goals.
My commitment to patient care and medical education has been recognized through honors including Cleveland Magazine's “Best Doctors in Family Medicine,” and the Northeast Ohio Medical University President's Excellence in Teaching Award. These honors continue to inspire my dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy exercising, attending sporting events, concerts, comedy shows, and spending time with my three adult children.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Mary Massie-Story has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
