About Me

I have been a practicing family physician and serving my patients for more than 30 years.

I believe in shared decision making so that patients are engaged in their health care.

I love family medicine because it allows me to have a long-term doctor/patient relationship with a variety of individuals with different ages, different diseases and different perspectives and experiences.

I enjoy the people that I work with and the fact that we look forward to making things better for our patients.

What I enjoy about The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is that we’re an integrated healthcare system, where all records are in the same place with computer access from any of our sites. This allows doctors to view a patient’s records and communicate electronically, which supports patient engagement.

Dr. Welker is a wonderful doctor, she always makes me feel like I'm the #1 person. She listens fully & patiently she answers all my questions she's on-point about my overall health she never rushes me or acts like she needs to go - gives me all of her attention & refers me to really good specialists. She even answers any email I send after hours or on the weekend. I feel like a very lucky person to have found her & my overall health has improved greatly thanks to her attention to my entire health - not just one problem, but every test or vaccination I need.
