Biography
I completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The Ohio State University and went on to complete a year-long physical therapy residency at Ohio State specializing in neurologic rehabilitation. Following residency graduation and attainment of neurologic specialty certification, in 2016 I joined the residency program as a clinical faculty member/mentor. I have presented at several neurologic based conferences at OSU with topics spanning ALS/SMA, multiple sclerosis, vestibular disorders and muscular dystrophy. I have also been involved as PT lead for inpatient rehab program (Service Delivery Quality Initiative) to facilitate interdisciplinary communication/teamwork to improve patient outcomes and employee satisfaction. I am a physical therapist at Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital treating primarily on the vascular and general rehab services. In my free time outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife Erin and new baby Heidi.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Matthew Willett has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
