Primary Care - General Internal Medicine
Department: Internal Medicine
As a primary care physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and a Columbus native, I am thrilled for the opportunity to give back to my hometown community. I treat patients for a variety of acute and chronic health conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, obesity, anxiety and depression.
My practice emphasizes preventive medicine and healthy aging. I am focused on helping patients with multiple health issues navigate their conditions and achieve a better quality of life.
My role includes researching ways to address and overcome healthcare disparities affecting underserved communities. I also help educate the next generation of providers. I am an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine, and I currently hold the provost’s fellowship-to-faculty tenure position in the Division of General Internal Medicine within The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

I am an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I am passionate about advancing public health through innovative research. As a Fellowship to Faculty Scholar in the Division of General Internal Medicine, my academic work centers on reducing health disparities by improving access to and uptake of preventive care services in the primary care setting.
My current areas of focus include developing strategies to encourage patients to undergo lung cancer screenings and expanding access to cervical cancer screenings through the use of the HPV self-collected vaginal swab. I am also working as a collaborator on a project focused on reducing maternal mortality in the postpartum setting, and I am developing expertise in systematic reviews.

The overall patient satisfaction rating is an average of all patient responses to the six doctor communication related questions shown below from the Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey. At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

This is my first visit with my provider, although I had had telephone contact with her previously. I was pleased with her knowledge of my medical history and appreciated the suggestions she gave me for future care.
Extremely concerned about my health and humbleness In listening to me about questioning her bout my health situation
Some medical staff actually cares about life in general, so it transitions into caring for people relatively effortlessly.
It was disconcerting to be questioned as if in an interrogation about my medication. How long have you been out. Since this date. Oh you got your prescription filed somewhere I can not see. Well no I took my medication during this trip and that was here. It makes sense to meI'm not a teenager nor a child. Generally speaking that has been my complaint with this facility. I'm either told I'm going to die. Which we all are or treated as if I'm being interrogated. I ask questions and want to be informed and included in my medical care
She's extraordinarily thorough. Her foot exam, for example, is far superior to my previous physician.
Love her
