Biography

As a comprehensive weight management and bariatric surgery nurse practitioner, I specialize in treating patients who are struggling with obesity.

I like to meet my patients where they are in the process of improving their health. I encourage them to set healthcare goals that are personally meaningful and achievable in a short period of time. This helps to boost their motivation to continue on their journey to good health.

My career has helped me to understand that life is short and to appreciate all that life has to offer. I love being in a position where I’m able to educate others and be educated myself. My favorite part about working here at Ohio State are the many opportunities to learn and grow. I especially enjoy networking with other advanced practice providers.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

• Graduated with a Doctorate in Nursing (DNP), 2016
• Developed and chaired the first Nurse Practitioner Council at OSUWMC, 2006
• Developed and coordinate bimonthly Advanced Practice Provider Grand Rounds, which began March 2015
• Served on the board for the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (APRNs) since 2011
