Biography

I am Melissa Elias, OT, an occupational therapist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in neurological rehabilitation including, but not limited to stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and functional movement disorders. I completed a post-professional neurologic fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where I spent time in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My practice focuses on helping individuals maximize their independence, function, and quality of life through personalized, client-centered care. I aim to empower patients and their families with the tools, strategies and support they need to achieve greater independence and participation in the activities that matter most to them.

Consulting and related relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Melissa Elias has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
