Biography
As a physician who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, my role in the lives of my patients is very rewarding. I love the continuity and relationships that I build with them during their reproductive years. These relationships continue to develop throughout a patient's lifetime.
My philosophy of care is to consider every patient's unique personal and health care needs and desires. They can vary widely depending on what each individual is seeking to achieve from each appointment with me. Every visit to my office is focused on the patient's needs and concerns at that time.
One of the things I enjoy about practicing medicine at Ohio State is the continuity of care between and among physicians. Each contributes specialized expertise, and this benefits physicians and patients alike.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling and relaxing with my family.

Academics and research
I am an associate professor and the associate director of the Residency Program for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. My research is centered on medical education and identifying strategies to improve patient care. I am currently a co-investigator on a trial focused on helping overweight women manage weight gain associated with pregnancy.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Goist is an amazing physician and I would recommend anybody to see her. She's kind and insightful and never makes me feel rushed.
Dr. Goist is the absolute best. During this visit, she spent extra time needed so I didn't have to make another trip for procedure. She always goes above and beyond.
Dr. Goist is truly a treasure. I am In the medical field and am picky about knowledge and bedside manner. Dr. Goist Is a 20 out of 10. She's always friendly. She is always knowledgeable. I have been having some certain symptoms for a while and my PCP has not been addressing anything. Dr. Goist doesn't stand for that she is helping me get to the cause of it. In this visit alone she uncovered more than my PCP has been willing to. Her patients are lucky to have her.
