About Me
As an anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician here at Ohio State, I specialize in anesthesiology, pain medicine and neuromodulation. I’m also credentialed in acupuncture.
I strongly believe in patient education. My approach to patient care involves educating each of my patients so that we’re able to work together to create individualized care plans. I take the time to help them understand the risks and benefits of treatments, possible interventions and medication management. I like to make sure my patients know all of their treatment options, ranging from the most conservative to more invasive.
I’m passionate about my career mainly because pain has the potential to cause so much disability. I work with patients to help them through this process in order for them to achieve the fullest life possible.
My favorite part about working at Ohio State is the amazing staff and team of physicians. We all share the same goal of providing the best comprehensive care to our patients.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family and enjoying the outdoors.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Although Dr Bold took copious notes that were supposed to passed on to me, these have not materialized. This Is frustrating. The notes that were promised contained contained after visit advice for pain management amongst other things. Follow up calls and MyChart requests with Dr office to get this Information seem to fall on deaf ears and get no response from anyone. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME.

Dr. Michelle T-Bold was Amazing! She knows her Expertise, extremely through and explaining all that I needed to know, and do. Did some Routine tests on me, I asked her many questions and she provided the answers for me. Told me what the next steps would be towards helping me improve the quality of my Spine. She walked with me to show me where to check in to get my X-rays done, next get scheduled for Physical Therapy and a later date for an MRI. She truly Cares about her Patients, taking enough time to get to know her patients with Respect and Dignity! I would refer anyone I know to Dr. Michelle T- Bold. I learned so much that day about my Spine and I couldn't Thank her Enough!

Absolutely love Dr. Bold. She spends an amazing amount of time catching up on all my history from the last time I saw her. She asks many questions to be fully aware of everything that is happening. Dr. T. Bold is the best pain specialist I have ever met. She has the best personality, knowledge & skills. The way she handled my chronic, severe neck pain, I was able to completely stopped pain medication (Tramadol 50 mg. 2 a day) which I've been taking for about 20 years every day. I decided to stop pain medication since I don't have any more that severe neck pain and I did it stop to take permanently without causing me anymore severe pain. My buddy who was my PCP was surprised and told me that I thought you will remain on it forever since you have had arthritis.
Dr. Bold asks the right ?'s and discusses concerns well. I consider her to be an extremely good dr.!
I have complex medical problems. Dr. Bold was prepared for my visit. She knew my history. She explored my symptoms and probed what may be causing my pain. As a result I felt confident in her diagnosis - she is caring and exceptionally talented.
