Biography
As an anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician here at Ohio State, I specialize in anesthesiology, pain medicine and neuromodulation. I’m also credentialed in acupuncture.
I strongly believe in patient education. My approach to patient care involves educating each of my patients so that we’re able to work together to create individualized care plans. I take the time to help them understand the risks and benefits of treatments, possible interventions and medication management. I like to make sure my patients know all of their treatment options, ranging from the most conservative to more invasive.
I’m passionate about my career mainly because pain has the potential to cause so much disability. I work with patients to help them through this process in order for them to achieve the fullest life possible.
My favorite part about working at Ohio State is the amazing staff and team of physicians. We all share the same goal of providing the best comprehensive care to our patients.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family and enjoying the outdoors.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Tornero-Bold has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Dr. Bold is my favorite and most helpful doctor. She cares more about my health, both physical and mental, than any other doctor I'm currently seeing. She is truly an asset to Ohio State, and you are fortunate to have her on your Staff.
Dr. Bold always spends a good amount of time explaining things in detail and in a way that makes me understand. I appreciate the extra effort she takes to help me look out for my overall health, not just the pain I may have on a given day. She is the best!
Dr Bold is the best!! She has lots of "tools" in her medical expertise which gives hope for your medical problem. She really cares about you as a patient. The best.

Dr Bold is the BEST. I cannot speak highly enough of her. From my very first I take appointment with her, she has shown compassion, empathy, concern... She listens to me and doesn't make me feel like I'm exaggerating or seeking (like some previous providers have- not OSU). I actually enjoy my visits with her, despite the reason for needing to see her. She explains things very clearly, sends links for support for breathing exercises and other alternatives for seeking relief from pain and stress. I am so very thankful that I was referred to her years ago. She has been LIFE CHANGING for me.

Although Dr Bold took copious notes that were supposed to passed on to me, these have not materialized. This Is frustrating. The notes that were promised contained contained after visit advice for pain management amongst other things. Follow up calls and MyChart requests with Dr office to get this Information seem to fall on deaf ears and get no response from anyone. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME.
