Biography
In addition to patient care, Dr. Banhos is the physical therapy Team Lead for Education and Evidence Based Practice at OSU’s Dodd Rehabilitation and Acute Care settings. She graduated as the 2012 Physical Therapy Neurologic Resident at Ohio State, and is now a Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic PT.
Because of my experiences in the residency, I am passionate about pursuing opportunities in clinical care, teaching, and research. At Dodd, I treat patients on the brain injury and spinal cord injury teams, and I have assisted with developing the Disorders of Consciousness Program for those with severe traumatic brain injuries. I am also the Clinical Director for the PT Neurologic Residency Program and guest lectures in OSU’s Doctorate program in the neurologic and advanced neurologic curriculums. Outside the clinic, I serve on my District’s Board for the Ohio Physical Therapy Association. All of these roles are driven by my passion for getting people back to doing what they love.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Meredith Banhos has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
