About Me
I practice obstetrics, specializing in maternal fetal medicine. This includes treatment of preeclampsia and other problems that can occur during pregnancy. I also treat women experiencing preterm labor and those who have a history of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Patient-centered care is important to me. In obstetrics, there can be gray areas in approaches to treatment. It is important that healthcare decisions be made as a team with the patient and family as key and essential parts of this team.
There are many things to like about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Above all, I appreciate the good people who work here and the patients who come here for their care.
After hours, I like to relax with my family, travel, read or take in a movie. I enjoy the outdoors and attending Ohio State football games.
Something many people don't know about me is that, during my career as a Navy physician, I was deployed and provided care in Haiti, Afghanistan and Central America.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Good.
Cackovic was exactly what we needed - direct, honest, kind, supportive and compassionate. We feel very lucky he was able to see us and perform my surgery.
Dr. Cackovic was knowledgeable and helpful.
No concern for other disease during pregnancy - cystic fibrosis, only concerned about diabetes during pregnancy.
It was fine. Dr. Cackovic helped put my mind at ease regarding some of my concerns. However, he didn't seem to have any knowledge of my health history. Would have thought he would have looked up some of the basic information.
Dr. Cackovic was a wonderful provider. Was referred for a high risk pregnancy consult & ultrasound. He took AMPLE time explaining my blood disorder & all possible treatments, latest medical findings & recommendations.
Treated me with respect.
Personal, kind, smart.

Dr. Cackovic was very professional & knowledgeable. He made me feel like I was understood & answered all of my questions.
