Biography
My true life's passion is helping people. Through medicine, and specifically neurology, I can combine my inquisitive nature and work ethic to make my patients lives' better. Additionally, the complexity of the peripheral nervous system and advancements in the field of neuromuscular disease compels me to constantly increase my knowledge of disease processes and treatments to best treat my patients. I aim to help patients lead their healthiest and most productive lives.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is special because it truly is a community, a team, all working towards the common goal of improving patients' lives. This can be achieved in ways beyond patient care since mentoring students and conducting research play a significant role at the medical center and my own career.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking and other outdoor recreation.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

He is always great. Takes time to make sure I understand what is going on.
Fantastic care
Very knowledgeable about the medical disorder I was seen for. He spent adequate time in the room explaining things and making sure I understood. I felt like my concerns were listened to and addressed. Very happy with the visit.
Totally good experience, wish all providers were like that.
All good.
Very attentive and explained things well. Seemed to care about the issue.
Professional
Concerned, professional
Dr Isfort is an excellent doctor. He is very thorough and always takes time to listen to any concerns I have. He always updates me on any test results- even if they come back normal.
Dr. Isfort is very knowledgeable and always answers questions. He follows up on any concerns.
Communicated my symptoms and what's the next steps to proceed?
Very thorough
I liked him very much. I was blown away with how knowledgeable he was. I really think he can help me. I'm very trusting of the doctor.
Very professional and answered my questions. And it was where I could understand my medical problems.
My experience with my care provider was one of the best experiences I have had with a doctor and their team. Everyone was very helpful and polite.
Excellent doctor-very intelligent, thorough and kind.
He's incredibly patient. I know how busy he is but he fit me into his schedule and took the time to answer all the questions my family and I had. He listens and knows his stuff about my disease. Just stellar patient care.
Very good and thorough gentlemen.
He was very concerned and thoroughly checked me over
Excellent, very bright doctor. I'm grateful he is so knowledgeable about hereditary neuropathy and CMT disease specifically.
The communication between the way a test needs to be done and the way they handle the bloodwork really needs improvement
Between him and his fellow, I had lots of time to ask questions and get answers. Both were affable and knowledgeable.
Very interested. Great listening. Helpful information.
Helpful. Thoughtful. Complete , proactive. Understanding
I never get the feeling he really cares about me or difficulty my disease presents. A resident was there to get me checked in, it was clear he DID care, listen, explain symptoms, possible adjustments to my care.
I always had a very good visit with Dr Isfort. He is a good clinician and always performs clinical examination and reviews past vis notes to follow me progress.
Good
No one seems to know what's wrong with me. I cannot seem to get straight answers. He is putting me on a medication that I've already tried but could t remevr why I stopped at it was 15 years ago and now he wants me back on it. I am in misery daily, totally exhausted. My husband drove me three hours and I didn't cry this time but I am in agony. I am forgetting things and I feel like an 80 year old woman when I walk. Something feels wrong with me, I just know it. My blood pressure was told to me to be good and my primary dr checked it three times in one appointment and it was good all times. Three hour drives mess with my nerves, my muscles and my blood pressure. I usually have difficulty after 30 minutes. I am having issues sleeping and in pain all the time. I don't understand why I have a little of this and that wrong with me, the symptoms and my test results are just ignored or blamed on my type one diabetes. I have maintained a 6.5 blood sugar for at least two years. I am getting worse. I can't seem to get any real help, I have been dealing with for five years and it is affecting my quality of life.
Personable, good listener
Dr. Isfort it's my second visit. But he is very nice and I had all my questions answered.
Good. Listing to me
