Biography
As a sports medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I am passionate about rehabilitating patients so they can resume the activities they love. I regularly treat patients with shoulder, ankle, hip and knee injuries, and issues such as arthritis and tendinopathy.
I use nonoperative tools such as ultrasound-guided injections and procedures to restore function, and I am committed to evidence-based medicine. When patients come to see me, they can expect a customized approach based on their individual needs and goals.
My undergraduate experience as an athletic trainer student at The Ohio State University inspired me to pursue a career in medicine with a goal to focus in sports medicine. It was a privilege to learn from such exceptional team physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers at this institution. I have been fortunate to work with patients across a broad spectrum – from helping people manage daily activities with less pain, to treating professional and Olympic-level athletes, and everything in between, including high school, collegiate and recreational athletes. I’m excited for this opportunity to return to Ohio State and work with so many of my mentors, and to continue that tradition by helping to teach the next generation of physicians. In my current role, medical students, residents and fellows rotate with me in the clinic.
I appreciate the commitment to research and the access to resources here at Ohio State. My research interests include sports injury epidemiology, as well as ultrasound interventions and education. My work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and I authored a book chapter on pediatric football injuries. I am also a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
