About MeProviding excellent, evidence-based, personalized care to my patients is my primary objective as an otolaryngologist. This level of care requires collaborating my efforts with those of my patients, staff and colleagues at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
It's a joy to work with other specialists in the care and management of patients while also having the opportunity to teach residents and grow as an academic physician. My involvement in The Ohio State University College of Medicine has afforded me a great opportunity to meet some brilliant future doctors.
Ohio State's leaders are on the cutting edge of medicine. My own participation in national otolaryngic allergy developments has placed me on the forefront of newer allergy treatments such as sublingual immunotherapy. Our department has one of the largest populations of patients receiving this treatment. I expect this number to grow, which is quite exciting.
In my free time, I love to read, travel, see movies, attend Ohio State football games and relax with my family.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 03/28/2017, Dr. Schofield has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
