About Me
I am a comprehensive ophthalmologist, specializing in cataract surgery, as well as LASIK and refractive surgery. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, I also treat a variety of other conditions, including dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, amongst others. I enjoy the variety of patients and disease processes that I encounter in my clinic. I love being able to educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, and work together with them to come up with a treatment plan individualized to their unique needs.
My research interests include outcomes associated with cataract surgery, and access to care in underserved populations.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our family, and our two labrador retrievers!

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Somewhat of a short attitude...at moments the conversation was very dry and commanding.
Dr. Mona Adeli impressed me as a competent medical professional who know about vision problems. She said she would ask the low vision department concerning putting a prism in the lens of my eye glasses so that the right eye could help the left eye. She said it is quite difficult to accomplish, but it is worth a try. (I've had a prism in my lens which did quite well, in the past) so far, I have not heard from the low vision department. I'm still hoping to hear from them.
