Biography
I am Morgan Torcasio, MD, and I specialize in geriatric psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My practice focuses on providing comprehensive mental healthcare in older adults and supporting patients and their families as they navigate behavioral health challenges that can persist or emerge later in life.
As a member of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. I value partnering with patients and their families to better understand their individual needs, goals and experiences, and I strive to create a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected and empowered throughout their care journey.
My clinical areas of focus include late-life depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, and neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Dementia with Lewy bodies and frontotemporal dementia. I am particularly interested in helping patients and their families understand and manage complex interplay between psychiatric symptoms, cognitive changes, medical conditions, and overall quality of life.
My approach emphasizes the connection between mental and physical health and the importance of developing personalized treatment plans that promote overall well-being and reflect each patient’s goals. Through evidence-based care, I am dedicated to helping patients achieve improved mental health as well as maintaining independence and function when possible.
