Biography
I earned my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and my MD from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After that, I trained at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center where I was a chief resident.
I'm the director of Part 3 of the LSI Curriculum for the College of Medicine. As an instructor, my interests include medical student education and emergency preparedness. I hold a few more leadership roles within medical organizations. I'm a medical manager for Ohio Task Force 1, which is Ohio's Urban Search and Rescue Team, as well as a co-chair of the Emergency Preparedness Committee at Ohio State. I'm also the former president of Clerkship Directors in Emergency Medicine (CDEM).

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Kman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
