Nurse Practitioner
A nurse practitioner is extensively trained to treat illness or disease and to prescribe medication to their patients. They work on teams with a licensed physician, but can treat patients with significant autonomy. Nurse practitioners work in a variety of settings, including primary care and various other medical and surgical specialties.

She was in a rush, just tried to answer my questions then said that no time for routine check up!I needed her to order blood test and have test for pain in stomach area.

She was pleasant enough however. I did not get to talk about my health care concerns. My experience was she had a checklist to get through and that is what we were going to do. Anything else required another separate appointment. She also put a remark I made about some dental issues in the my chart record in all caps. Very demeaning and unnecessary. I was totally not aware I would be quoted in what I considered to be a private comment. She could have simply wrote - Patient declined looking in her mouth.
I love Nicole! She listens, does not seem to be in a hurry, answers questions and Is supportive and encouraging.

She seemed to have negative impressions or stereotypes about some of the meds I take, namely a weight loss med and a sleep aid, even though I'm taking them as prescribed for fda approved conditions. It was also evident that she had not reviewed my medical record. Overall she was nice and the appointment was fine-I got what I needed-but I felt like I the appointment was impersonal and my history was unimportant. I did not get the impression that she was treating ME or MY needs just clicking buttons in the record and going through the motions.
Nicole was so kind and empathetic. She explained everything and went out of her way to ensure I got timely care for my concerns, and I am grateful for her expertise.
