About Me

As a physician assistant specializing in otology, I regularly treat patients for conditions such as hearing loss, tinnitus, inner ear balance disorders, cholesteatoma and more. My patients can expect individualized care and that I will treat them like family. I previously worked with patients at the Ohio State Hand Center, and I’m excited to expand my expertise in my role with the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

I love my job because I’m inspired by the science behind medicine, including the ability to be part of research efforts that improve patient care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I also appreciate the rewarding opportunity to train future providers. In my role, physician assistant students often shadow me in the clinic.

I’m a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my children who keep me busy at the ice rink and ball fields. I also enjoy playing golf and pickleball.

Dr. Benvenuti was thorough. She ordered a hearing test to be completed before I saw her. That test confirmed a problem in my right ear. Dr. Benvenuti examined me, further confirming the problem. She used suction to remove wax from both ears and prescribed a steroid and told me to use Nasacort and pop my ears. The pressure in my ear disappeared in one day and I think my hearing is restored.

She explained the procedure she was going to perform and asked me several times how I was doing during the procedure.

The provider was rude. I was wearing a mask because I was getting over a cold. She looked at me a said "Why are you wearing a mask? Do you have COVID? I said no I tested negative twice for COVID and Influenza A/B. " she said people had been coming in with COVID yet she was not wearing a mask. I told her about my sinus, throat and ear problems. She said I can only look at your ears. She offered no assistance for referrals. Very short and rude.
