Biography
I am a board-certified rheumatologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in caring for patients with autoimmune diseases, and conditions that cause inflammation in the muscles, joints and bones. Many cases in rheumatology can be complex, and one of my favorite aspects of the field is working through these medical puzzles. Often, patients come to rheumatology after seeing multiple medical providers, and I try to help bring clarity to challenging situations.
I specialize in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which I use to guide joint injections and aspirations to improve accuracy, safety and patient comfort. I also have expertise in the management of complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, with special interest in sarcoidosis.
At The Ohio State University College of Medicine, I collaborate with experts across many specialties, which allows me to learn from colleagues every day and provide comprehensive care for my patients.
In addition to patient care, I am actively involved with the American College of Rheumatology, where I volunteer on their Committee on Communications and Marketing.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Couette has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
