Biography

I chose cardiovascular medicine because I am passionate about helping my patients achieve optimal heart health. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in caring for patients with conditions impacting their coronary and peripheral arteries.

As an interventional cardiologist and endovascular interventionist, my expertise is in minimally invasive procedures designed to help improve outcomes and reduce recovery time. I commonly perform percutaneous coronary interventions, which is a procedure to open a blocked artery. I also treat peripheral vascular disease with minimally invasive endovascular techniques, which involve using small tubes to diagnose and treat the patient’s condition.

I provide my patients with compassionate, honest care. I enjoy listening to my patients and guiding them through the process. I also empower my patients to take active roles in their health care and thoroughly understand their cardiovascular disease and all treatment options.

I’m thrilled to continue my career here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, working alongside clinicians and other skilled providers at the top of their fields to offer outstanding patient care.

I also appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with physician–scientists and contribute to innovative research to improve the field of cardiovascular medicine. My work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and I often discuss my findings and expertise at national conferences.

In addition to my clinical and research responsibilities, I help educate the next generation of providers as a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine. I’m also an avid volunteer, contributing to professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions.

The doctor was very patient and explained everything to me.

Lots of questions, really tried to understand my situation

Well, I guess she did her job. But I don't really recall her maintaining eye contact with me for more than two seconds after she first walked in the room. I'm more or less felt like I was just giving someone dictation. She didn't explain what the test that she was ordering was for. I knew, but I think it would've been a good idea for her to make sure that I knew. I definitely didn't feel cared for as a person. I figured most doctors look at me and think, oh here's another middle-aged guy who thinks he's taking care of himself, but really isn't because he's a little overweight. Meanwhile, I flew through my stress test like a champ.

She was new. She knew all my information and I like her as a doctor.

    Very well spoken. Clearly understood
