Biography
As a noninvasive general cardiologist, I treat patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure and abnormal cardiac rhythms. My job includes regularly performing noninvasive diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms and nuclear stress tests.
I am especially enthusiastic about patient education because I believe patients can better participate in their own care when they fully understand the diagnosis and treatment options. My patients can always rely on me to answer their questions and be a supportive partner as we work to achieve their health goals.
Patients can expect state-of-the-art care here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and I am proud to collaborate with such exceptional colleagues who always put patients’ needs first. I also appreciate that being at an academic medical center allows for continued learning and research opportunities, as well as access to innovative clinical trials that advance our patient care.
My own research interests include various areas related to cardiovascular disease. I previously served as a local investigative site coprincipal investigator in the Cardiovascular Inflammation Reduction Trial.
In addition to my clinical work, I help educate future physicians. In my role as an associate clinical professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, I work with medical students, physician residents and cardiovascular fellows.
During my career, I have been honored with awards, including The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine Louis Mendelson Award, the Department of Internal Medicine Award and the College of Medicine Academic Achievement Award. I received the John A. Prior Award for the Most Outstanding Clinical Performance as an Internal Medicine Intern, and I served as a chief medical resident in the Department of Internal Medicine. Also, I was honored to receive the Outpatient Care Dublin Buckeye of the Month Award for Empathy and Ownership.
I am a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. I am also a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Moodispaw has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
