About Me
I am a neurologist specializing in headache medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I chose this area of focus because I have seen how headache treatment can significantly improve a person’s quality of life, and I am passionate about using my skills to help each of my patients achieve freedom from their headaches.
At Ohio State’s dedicated Headache Clinic, we offer the most innovative and effective therapies to help patients achieve the best outcomes possible. I also have special interests in post-COVID headache and functional neurological disorder (FND).
I appreciate the access to resources and the commitment to producing world-class research here at Ohio State, which allows us to continue to improve patient care. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I also help teach future physicians as a clinical assistant professor of Neurology.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Robinson has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
He was very clear and straightforward and I appreciated his candor and clarity and willingness to listen
I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Robinson. As someone who has struggled with migraines for years, I've seen my fair share of specialists, but none have been as thorough, compassionate, and effective as Dr. Robinson. From our first appointment, it was clear that he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. He took the time to listen to my concerns, understand my medical history, and tailor a treatment plan specifically for me. Dr. Robinson is also very respectful, always making sure I feel heard and valued during our visits. Thanks to his expertise, my migraines are now much more manageable, and my quality of life has greatly improved. Dr. Robinson is not only a skilled neurologist but also a caring and supportive healthcare provider. I'm incredibly grateful to have him on my care team and highly recommend him to anyone seeking a neurologist who truly makes a difference.
The care provider was very friendly and very nice
Dr. Robinson is always willing to listen to my concerns. He is friendly, and accommodating and listens well.
I moved in from another state and was worried I would never find another neurologist that I really liked. Thankfully I found Dr Peter Robinson. Great Dr. I always feel confident in everything that goes on. Glad he is on my team
He was thoughtful. He didn't want to pressure me into anything. He clearly explained all my options and was incredibly thorough with our discussion. I'm also a nurse and he knew that and he talked to me at my level but also made sure I clearly understood.
Ver thorough
He listened well.
I feel Dr Peter Robinson understands my problems and is always looking for ways to help me
Listen intently. Was patient and understanding. Let me know we would resolve or work toward a solution of my issues.
I was nervous about this appointment because I had been to a neurologist many years ago and the experience was not good. Dr. Robinson was wonderful. I did not feel like he was rushing, he asked me a lot of questions and also explained things to me in terms I could understand. I left the appointment feeling hopeful and with a handful of tools that I could utilize to help with my migraine issues. I'm looking forward to continuing working with Dr. Robinson and his team.
I was very nervous about this appointment since I have gone off of my medication. The doctor listened to all of my concerns and educated me on the pros and cons of each decision so that I could decide what was best for me. During the procedure, he was kind and concerned about my well-being. He also worked efficiently to minimize my pain from the procedure.
Provider was excellent. The suggested treatment is working well.
Very good and concerning
He was very thorough
Good
Casual, did not listen.
All good. Showed true concern for my issue. Friendly and professional.
Very honest about my care & was willing to help give me good positive care. I was happy about my care plan of action.
Not a long wait, thorough going over my concerns & questions re: my medical issues. Explained mediation prescribed & dosage. Ran blood work that he deemed necessary. Very good 1st visit.
He was patient and kind and listened to all concerns and plans to address all of them. He was excellent!
None, keep up the good work!
He communicated, explained, answered my questions, and wrote down all of the information he'd shared with me. My visit summary is full of the main points I'd been told about and how to manage if the medications didn't work has hoped. The only bad experience was the cologne he wore and had a migraine begin due to that being a trigger.
Dr. Robinson is wonderful! Caring, understanding & pleasant.
Listened very carefully to what I had to say, addressed my questions and concerns not only for what I was being seen for but other issues with my health.
Dr. Robinson is one of the best providers I have ever had. He actually listens to my concerns instead of just brushing them away, and he does whatever he can to help with my issues. At my first visit, he had gotten all of my records. Even the ones from when I lived in another state. He had gone through them and knew all my past issues at my visit. I honestly wish he could just be my doctor for all my health issues not just neurology!
The care provider was very good, she listen to my problems and helped me.
Great doctor very informative very helpful
As always, he took time in-between my injections to make sure I was still comfortable.
Very conscientious about my well being and how well treatment was helping.
