About Me

I am a neurologist specializing in headache medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I chose this area of focus because I have seen how headache treatment can significantly improve a person’s quality of life, and I am passionate about using my skills to help each of my patients achieve freedom from their headaches.

At Ohio State’s dedicated Headache Clinic, we offer the most innovative and effective therapies to help patients achieve the best outcomes possible. My role involves treating headache disorders, post-traumatic headache and conditions like trigeminal neuralgia. I also have special interests in post-COVID headache and functional neurological disorder (FND).

I appreciate the access to resources and the commitment to producing world-class research here at Ohio State, which allows us to continue to improve patient care. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I also help teach future physicians as a clinical assistant professor of Neurology.

The doctor was very caring and explained well and showed concern to get things going to help me get better.

The doctor is very thoughtful and respectful. He was the first doctor to explain the differences between adult and pediatric medicine to me since I am transition providers. I forgot to mention a few things at the start and added them later and he was very thorough about updating his notes and then changing his opinion based on that new information. At times, he felt a little blunt however, I think this is a rather good quality in a doctor to get the point across to the patient as clearly as possible. He gave me many options on treatment and he was very understanding my hesitancy for daily medicine due to my age, and he even listened to concerns about potentially getting a scan of my head. He did seem like he had places to To be and at times seemed like he was trying to wrap up however, if I brought up something new, he would stop what he was doing and get back to me if that makes sense.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Robinson. As someone who has struggled with migraines for years, I've seen my fair share of specialists, but none have been as thorough, compassionate, and effective as Dr. Robinson. From our first appointment, it was clear that he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. He took the time to listen to my concerns, understand my medical history, and tailor a treatment plan specifically for me. Dr. Robinson is also very respectful, always making sure I feel heard and valued during our visits. Thanks to his expertise, my migraines are now much more manageable, and my quality of life has greatly improved. Dr. Robinson is not only a skilled neurologist but also a caring and supportive healthcare provider. I'm incredibly grateful to have him on my care team and highly recommend him to anyone seeking a neurologist who truly makes a difference.

I moved in from another state and was worried I would never find another neurologist that I really liked. Thankfully I found Dr Peter Robinson. Great Dr. I always feel confident in everything that goes on. Glad he is on my team
