About Me
I provide general internal medicine and pediatric care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in treating both adult and pediatric patients, and completed a combined residency program with The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about training the next generation of physicians. I am an assistant professor of Internal Medicine – Pediatrics, mentor medical students interested in this specialty, and serve as a faculty leader for both students and residents. I’ve been honored to receive awards such as the John McNaugher Stang Award for Inspiring Internal Medicine Resident Teacher and the General Medical Education (GME) Housestaff Award for Teaching.
I appreciate the commitment to research at The Ohio State University. My work has focused on topics such as immunosuppression and exaggerated immune responses, simulation education to improve resuscitation of pregnant patients, and developing specific curriculums to enhance medical education for residents. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and I’ve presented my work before respected medical conferences.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Very prompt in answering my questions on my chart
I am so happy with Dr. Chang! Seriously, he is the happiest doctor I've met. He made me feel fantastic about my weight loss and overall health. He went over a sleep study with me. I felt like he truly got the whole picture of my health. I've always had mediocre experiences with my primary care doctors, but I actually enjoyed my visit with Dr. Chang. He's a good dude.

Dr. Chang is a new internist to me. He was efficient, caring, professional but easy to talk to and we build a trust easily during my initial visit. Although I had to wait 9 months to get an appointment with him I'm happy I'm now an established patient.

He was excellent. Definitely a doctor I have a lot of confidence with in the short time I've known him. I'm very glad he was recommended to me by a doctor moving out of the area. He is very thorough and his write-ups of my visits are excellent. He is easy to understand, and definitely listens and responds appropriately to any concerns or questions I raise.

Dr Chang is the best! He gave me a fist bump even though I was sick which was very humanizing and did not make me feel like a leper who needs to be shunned and avoided. I really appreciated his warmness and engagement with someone who was not feeling well!

Dr. Chang is great. He listens to my concerns and has been very helpful in trying to figure out my health issues. I have had previous experiences with doctors that have disregarded my health issues, but that is never the case with Dr. Chang. He answers my messages on mychart in a timely manner and they are always helpful.

Very articulate; explained conditions & treatment paths clearly.
It was my 1st visit with him. He was very patient with my hearing difficulties and repeated everything I asked him to. He was very knowledgeable about my medical history and answered all questions that I asked.
Dr. Chang was so incredibly kind and great listener and took the time to explain what was wrong, alleviated my fears of a DVT and then went on to discuss a plan of treatment and what should I do if anything changes. Enjoyed meeting him so much considered/inquired if I could change for him to be my main provider.
