About Me

As a family medicine physician, I believe in a holistic approach to patient care where physical and mental health are both important in a patient’s overall well-being. I enjoy empowering my patients to make the most of their healthcare.

I love working at an academic medical center like Ohio State where there are numerous resources for my patients as well as the opportunity to teach the next generation of family medicine physicians.

In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading and learning new languages. I also love to travel, both nationally and internationally.

kind and concerned

Dr. McGuirk tried to help with alternative ideas for my condition. I appreciate how she also responds to the MyChart emails so quickly. When I have a short question because I am in a dilemma about an issue, it's so great to get her 15 second response to either see her or someone else if needed. I appreciate it. I picked up the phone to call and hung up. I emailed then several hours later because I still did not know what to do about a situation and she emailed back almost immediately with a direction for me to take. That's comforting. Thank you!!!!!

The appt felt rushed. I understand there's timeframes, but not all of my concerns were addressed.

She was very nice and concerned about my medication refills and health conditions.

it's been a long time since I've had a primary care physician who showed true concern for getting to the bottom of a problem instead of just prescribing a pill and moving to the next patient. Dr. McGuirk took the took the time to listen and understand my medical concerns and I very much appreciate that.
