Biography

I am a licensed clinical psychologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in health psychology, in which the focus is treating the bidirectional relationship between mental and physical health. As a health psychologist, I treat various mental health struggles, such as anxiety, depression, and stress that may be worsening medical concerns, such as obesity, chronic pain, and insomnia. I also help patients adjust to chronic health conditions and improve adherence to medical recommendations.

I strive to provide a safe, welcoming space, in which patients’ struggles are addressed with evidence-based approaches to help them reach their goals and live the life they desire.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Rachel Gabelman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
