Primary Care - General Internal Medicine
Department: Internal Medicine
As a primary care doctor at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I diagnose and treat a wide variety of acute and chronic health conditions. I offer the full spectrum of general internal medicine services, including laboratory testing, imaging studies, prescription management and preventive screenings.
Patients should choose me for their primary care needs if they are seeking someone who will take the time to understand their concerns, can help them effectively navigate our complex health care system, and help simplify health care terminology in a way that they can more easily understand.
During my early medical training, I experienced great satisfaction from helping medical students and resident physicians learn medicine. I wanted to make a career out of this interest, so I chose to enter academic medicine as a clinician-educator. Later in my career, I developed an interest in biostatistics and data science to help improve population health and value-based care. This newer interest helped reinforce my decision to remain in academic medicine where I can pursue clinical care of patients, teaching and research in one role.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
