About Me
As a physician, my interests include population health, optimizing the emergency department EHR and helping streamline ED flow. I'm the current medical director of The Ohio State University Health Plan.
After completing my residency at Ohio State, during which I was chief resident, I chose to spend another two years at Ohio State as the administrative fellow while pursuing my MBA at the Fisher College of Business.
In my personal life, I have a keen interest in social justice and helping the under-served as a board member of the Columbus Free Clinic, through my church, and by working on numerous political campaigns. I also participate in all things hipster and swing dance.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Cooper has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
