Biography
Being a former accident-prone high school athlete, I tend to lean toward modalities that can benefit the current and former athlete, working on injury prevention and treatment. I have always been interested in learning new modalities that can be adapted to the athlete. I have worked with chiropractors on several sports teams, bodybuilder/fitness competitors, powerlifters, athletes aged 8 to 80, fitness centers, and day spas.
I spend down time doing volunteer work. I have done a lot of volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity; Minerva Park EMS; Special Olympics; Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Cleveland Marathons; Alleghany Mountain Rescue Group; Ohio K9 Search Team; and training dogs and horses for Search and Rescue.
Highlights
- I was an Adjunct Instructor in the Massage Program at Pittsburgh Massage Institute and Daymar College, Columbus Campus.
- I use Neuromuscular Therapy, and Myofascial Release (part of the training at AIAM), Craniosacral Therapy (levels I and II) and Lymphatic Drainage (from the Upledger Institute), and Sports Massage from three groups.
- I have taken two certification courses in Pregnancy Massage.
- I was certified as a Paramedic at the Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania (affiliated with University of Pittsburgh), in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1998.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Ron Hill has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
