About Me
I am excited to be a part of the team at The Ohio State University treating patients with a multidisciplinary approach. My goal as a physician is to use my education and training toward treating not only a patient's disease but also the patient as a whole. Rheumatologic conditions often affect different organ systems and several aspects of a patient's life. During my clinic visits, I value the time used to educate patients about their disease states and discuss treatment options. Being able to provide individualized care and see the positive impact and improvement in quality of life are the best parts of my day.
I regularly attend symposiums and educational programs held by the American College of Rheumatology to stay at the forefront of medical developments and research breakthroughs. I also have a strong desire to train new physicians.
In my clinic, I see a broad spectrum of rheumatologic conditions such as inflammatory arthritis, gout, systemic lupus erythematosus, sjogren’s syndrome, scleroderma, mixed connective tissue disease, myositis, polymyalgia rheumatica, vasculitis, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
In my spare time, I enjoy culinary adventures as well as travel with my husband and playing musical instruments.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

The male doctor who gathered my info and did an exam was great, kind, thorough and knowledgable. Dr. Chan was knowledgable, very kind and caring, and set up bloodwork that she thought was necessary.Both of these providers were superb In my opinion and very competent.
Dr. Chan is one of the best care providers I've ever had. She always listens to my concerns, addresses any questions I have, and she understands that even minor complaints or abnormal reactions can play a key role in overall health or treatment options.
She did not rush through the visit. She was great about addressing all my concerns.

Her medical astuteness and open communication considering any concerns current or in the future has been spot on. Very much am impressed by her manner of care, thoughtfulness, and overwhelming willingness to help improve my overall health and quality of life. Dr. Chan is open to my concerns l, willing to pause and followup after investigating further and very much focused on improving my wellness not only for me but the benefit of my family. I Feel reassured that so far I have had successful partners within the department of Rheum and am grateful Dr. Chan is a vital and respected member of that team now. Thank you for the excellent care.
