Biography
I am an orthopedic trauma surgeon who focuses on treating acute injuries, including broken bones, and tendon and ligament tears. I also specialize in treating malunions (improperly healed bones), nonunions (nonhealing bones) and infections after fracture fixation surgeries, among other chronic orthopaedic conditions. I chose this subspecialty of orthopaedic surgery because of the opportunity to care for patients from young adolescents to the elderly and the chance to go to work every day and have an immediate, positive impact on my patients.
My patients can rely on me to address their injuries with the same urgency and attention that I would expect for my own family members. I will clearly explain what is wrong, detail all of your treatment options, and collaborate with you to find the right solution. I also promise to work with each patient throughout the healing process until they reach 'graduation day,' the day we can call their injury healed.
I also have the privilege of training medical students, advanced practice providers and resident doctors here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Just as I find 'graduation day' for my patients to be rewarding, the graduation days that we see for our learners are equally gratifying.
In addition to my clinical and teaching duties, my responsibilities include serving as the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s vice chair for quality. In that role, I am responsible for helping my colleagues, our department and our medical center deliver the best possible care to our patients.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
