Biography
I am a physician assistant in the Adult Reconstruction division at Ohio State, I work with adult patients undergoing reconstructive surgeries, with an emphasis on hip and knee replacements, and I also treat conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. I see patients in the office as well as assist in the operating room with my supervising physician.
I’m proudly helping to grow the Outpatient Total Joint Program here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, which has led to enhanced care for our patients. This role includes helping to train other advanced practice providers to support the division.
I have been specializing in orthopedics for more than 15 years and I am deeply passionate about providing quality patient care. I listen to my patients’ concerns and thoroughly explain treatment options that are tailored to their individual needs and goals.
I especially enjoy working in academic medicine because of the opportunity to work alongside fellows, residents, medical students and physician assistant students. The trainees provide ongoing education that advances my own career growth in the field of orthopedics, and it’s a privilege to share my knowledge and experience with them.

Everything was fine
Sarah is great, I was seen for a 2 week post op visit and she answered all of my questions and was very encouraging about my rehab.
I really appreciate Sarah's intentional pursuit of my frustration with ongoing pain
Phenomenal! Very kind, professional but friendly
Sarah provided excellent care during my first post-op visit
I was glad she remembered me and knew my history
Sarah was lovely. Listened, explained the procedure. Was happy to answer any questions I had. Loved her personality.
Everything was good
Sarah Babka is very knowledgeable, professional ans personable.
She is friendly and very thorough and listens to me
Sarah Babka is a great provider. She is always very thorough, and takes her time during the assessment and treatment.
I needed more time. I needed an injection in my left hip bursa.. But it was addressed and I was rushed to register a floroscopy
Excellent care!
Sarah is AWESOME. She has followed my post-surgical care for 8 years and has provided consistently outstanding services.
I had some specific questions about driving and post op exercise and she provided helpful guidance.
She explained what she was doing and how it would feel very well. She explained how I would likely feel for a few weeks. She was very confident and competent
Sarah always asks me If there are any concerns about my left knee replacement. She ordered exrays before my appt so she could review them before we met.I have been trying to decide on a time when I would schedule my right knee replacement. Sarah & I talked about stopping the injections in the right knee & scheduling the surgery. I value her advice. During the appt I decided to schedule the right knee replacement as soon as Dr Beal had a time available. Sarah was very proactive in finding a surgery time for me in February. I really appreciate her efforts to do this. I am very confident about the followup care Sarah provides for me at the LewisCenter. Sarah listens to my concerns. She has a caring way of assuring me that my surgery will go well & that I will experience an improved level of functioning without pain.Sarah is a valuable part of your medical team!!!
It was a good experience, Sarah checked with Dr Greco, when he returned from some days off. She let me know what he suggestedI.
I came in for regular injection for my left knee. However, the person was short and not very sympathetic to future needs to have a knee replacement and needing to go to a rehab facility and argued with me about what OSU does, which is not what you do when you have Medicare and don't wait till the last minute to set up a facility and you have to have prior authorization to go to facility or even have the surgery. She did not seem to understand any of this and was unsympathetic. I'm in a lot of pain all the time with other many physical problems which do not allow me to go straight lfrom a media place but to home as an outpatient due to living alone. I wear braces on my feet, hands, elbows, etc
Always respectful and understanding of my needs.
