About Me

I’m a nurse practitioner in the Division of Medical Oncology at The James, where I specialize in the treatment and care of patients with lung cancer. I love the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and their families and support them through their cancer care, and it’s really rewarding to get to use my personal strengths every day to positively impact other people’s lives.

Since The James has specialists in every area of cancer, my team only sees and treats lung cancer, which allows our physicians to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and treatments so that we can individualize patient care to ensure they are getting the most appropriate care. We also work within a multidisciplinary framework that includes thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, lung pharmacists, dieticians and more to provide comprehensive care that is tailored to a patient’s specific circumstances or needs.

The James really embraces the use of nurse practitioners and encourages them to work to their full scope of practice. It’s this support that led me to complete the James Advanced Practice Oncology Fellowship in 2014, and it’s also why I’m able to wake up every day and come to a job that I love with people who all have the same goal.
