About Me

Scott Maffett, MD, is a cardiologist and associate professor of clinical medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship in adult cardiovascular disease at Ohio State, where he was also chief fellow.

His clinical interests include valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, coronary artery disease and cardiac imaging, including transesophageal echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiography and nuclear imaging. He is also involved in several different leadership and administrative roles. As the director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship, he directs the training and education of 19 cardiology fellows. He also is the associate director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the director of the Imaging Section.  In addition, recently he became the medical director of outpatient clinics in cardiology, helping improve the overall outpatient experience for our patients.

Dr. Maffett is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is a member of several professional societies including the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association and the Ohio Medical Association. He currently sees patients in the Upper Arlington location.
