Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Mao has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Always brilliant.
She's always the best
Dr Mao is very thorough
Dr. Mao is an excellent listener and doesn't waste time asking the questions she needs to ask or providing the guidance that I need to hear. She's efficient, diplomatic, and she doesn't let me talk her into endorsing my bad habits despite my best efforts.
Fantastic doctor!
Dr. Mao listened, asked questions, & repeated my answers back to make sure she understood. She listened to my concerns & even helped me with an issue I was having with another provider's office. I felt very confident by the time I left.
This was an absolutely fantastic experience as a new patient. Everyone I interacted with (reception, nursing) was kind and efficient. I was seeing Dr. Mao as a new patient, and it was the best doctor's appointment I've ever had! She was prompt, extremely thorough - didn't miss a thing, communicative, friendly, and discussed questions I had by bringing up all the latest literature (I'm a physician, but not in internal medicine, so I know just enough to know how much more she knows than I could from an internet search). It was a very collaborative visit and I feel so lucky I have her as my primary care physician now.
She is always very friendly, professional, helpful, and encouraging
Dr. Mao is always knowledgeable and friendly, and even in an annual check-up she never comes across as lecturing.
She spent a great deal of time with me, explained the results of my blood test, made suggestions on my healthcare, and listened intently to any questions that I had for her.
I asked a lot of questions and she patiently talked with me and explained
Dr. Mao was very thoughtful and helpful.
Dr. Mao was lovely as always.
She was Ok.
I appreciate the care and diligence Dr Mao puts into her practice - it shows.
She listens, gives thorough responses to answers, and takes my concerns seriously.
Always friendly and caring
I have a great deal of confidence in Dr. Mao.
Dr Mao is by far one of the best physicians I have seen. The attention to detail and level of care is unparalleled
Dr. Mao is an exemplary physician, knowledgeable, a good communicator; I have never had a better doctor in my 70+ years.
Listens well, short on time today.
Honestly was unimpressed. The doctor kept mentioning a diagnosis that I'd never gotten before, never gave me a diagnosis and was only clear about follow up plans when I directly asked. I waited to see the provider for over an hour.
No issues
They are all very kind and helpful and always solve my problems
