About Me
As an internist and pediatrician I help my patients to improve their health and quality of life through preventative care and wellness initiatives. I enjoy treating patient of all cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds, and I love learning about the unique health care needs of different patients.
Working at Ohio State allows me to be part of a large network of physicians. I love the opportunity I have to collaborate with them as well as the opportunity to continue growing and learning.
When I’m not working I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, eating and spending time with my family and friends.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. My provider is always smiling and patient with me. She would explain diet and exercise suggestions that would be more healthy for me. The best thing which keeps me from being nervous. I think these are my good experiences.
Dr. Mao is an excellent listener and her responses are easy to understand. Since my blood pressure was elevated this time she set me up for the 24-hour monitor that I wore home rather than immediately prescribe meds. In the long run, I will probably need meds but I appreciate her thoroughness.
Dr, Mao is excellent, I could not ask for a better physician for my child. She is prompt, thoughtful in her care plan, and wonderful to the kids. So very grateful we have Dr. Mao as our physician.
