Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Mao has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
She listens, gives thorough responses to answers, and takes my concerns seriously.
Always friendly and caring
I have a great deal of confidence in Dr. Mao.
Dr Mao is by far one of the best physicians I have seen. The attention to detail and level of care is unparalleled
Dr. Mao is an exemplary physician, knowledgeable, a good communicator; I have never had a better doctor in my 70+ years.
Listens well, short on time today.
Honestly was unimpressed. The doctor kept mentioning a diagnosis that I'd never gotten before, never gave me a diagnosis and was only clear about follow up plans when I directly asked. I waited to see the provider for over an hour.
No issues
They are all very kind and helpful and always solve my problems
Dr. Mao is great! The wait time was fairly long, however, I don't mind having to wait a bit.
Enjoy talking with her
Dr. Mao is the very best, kind, listens well, and sets you up for success by going through the expected milestones for the next visit. She is wicked smart. Highly recommend!
Provided direction for possible future needed care.
Dr. Mao is very well prepared, studies my chart and history, covers everything efficiently, explains her thinking, lets me make decisions about my care, takes careful notes.
Good listener, good communicator, professional, with a good sense of humor.
My provider is always smiling and patient with me. She would explain diet and exercise suggestions that would be more healthy for me. The best thing which keeps me from being nervous. I think these are my good experiences.
Dr. Mao is an excellent listener and her responses are easy to understand. Since my blood pressure was elevated this time she set me up for the 24-hour monitor that I wore home rather than immediately prescribe meds. In the long run, I will probably need meds but I appreciate her thoroughness.
Dr, Mao is excellent, I could not ask for a better physician for my child. She is prompt, thoughtful in her care plan, and wonderful to the kids. So very grateful we have Dr. Mao as our physician.
