Biography
As a board-certified general dermatologist, I diagnose and treat a wide variety of dermatologic problems in both adults and children. I see patients for issues including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and hair loss. I also perform procedures and surgeries to treat skin cancer, cysts and other growths.
I love working alongside the team of expert specialists here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. We have the resources and expertise to treat the most complex of cases as well as give patients with more common conditions the focus they deserve.
In dermatology, patients can quickly see whether our treatments are working or not, and I take great joy in following up with patients and seeing their skin problems dramatically improve and heal. I also spend extra time on education and always make sure my patients thoroughly understand their disease and treatment options. I empower my patients to take active roles in their health care and I believe shared decision-making between physician and patient is important.
Forming personal connections with my patients is the most satisfying part of my job and I am focused on building trusting relationships with each person who comes to see me. My support staff and I strive to offer an inclusive and nonjudgmental space that makes everyone feel comfortable and allows them to get the care they need.
I grew up in Grandview Heights and earned my bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, and I am thrilled to be back home with the opportunity to continue my career as a Buckeye. I feel lucky that my practice includes seeing patients at our Grandview location and being able to treat people from my hometown community.
When I’m not working, I love cheering on the Buckeyes and the Columbus Crew. I enjoy cooking, exploring new restaurants, spending time outdoors and competing in triathlons.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

The MD & his Resident who saw me were excellent in every way. I'm very pleased. I moved to Ohio in 2022/2023 & I'm not sure how many of my medical records followed me from another State. I don't think the dermatologist had those records. I was coming for my first checkup (overdue because of my ongoing other medical care at OSU). That was ok with me, but I had to wait almost a year to get in for this overdue appointment. That proved to be ok too, but I think it was a very long wait for my first appointment in Dermatology in Ohio.
He is very knowledgeable caring friendly and nice!
Provider seemed surprised/frustrated that I came in after messaging my usual provider I had concerns about. It seemed like the provider have already made up their mind before entering the room that I didn't have the skin issue I was questioning/concerned that I had. I had wanted to be seen soon since I was incredibly uncomfortable with my skin concern and very itchy. They donned gloves and then checked my hands and arms, but didn't really check further with a dermascope or a scrape test, like I mentioned for my concern. I felt judged and dismissed, and honestly uncomfortable and embarrassed. I even felt the nurse had become a bit judgmental towards my concerns after the provider examined me and then made me feel like it was not a physical issue. In the end, they prescribed medication for a condition I had before and initially suspected I had and why I came in, but it seemed like the provider was doing it because they felt I wanted it, instead of determining what may have been the actual issue. I'm still itchy/issue and my concern has not been resolved/root cause has not been determined.
