Biography
I am a nurse practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine at The James. As a member of the Palliative Medicine team, I specialize in pain and symptom management for cancer patients, as well as assist in goals of care discussions for the cancer population. I love my job at the OSUCCC – James because I feel like I truly make a difference in patients’ lives by making them more comfortable by improving their symptoms and also helping to align the patient’s care plan with their individual goals.
What makes The James so unique from most cancer hospitals is that it specializes in so many types of cancer. The different specialties collaborate with the multidisciplinary and ancillary teams to provide specialized care for each individual patient, resulting in the best possible treatment through a combination of traditional methods and new clinical trials.
The James is a great place to work because we get to make a difference in the lives of patients from across the country and all walks of life, and to be able to do so alongside other healthcare professionals who share the same values is incredibly rewarding.
