About Me
I specialize in treating patients who have corneal and ocular surface disease and require specialty medical contact lenses. These contact lenses can significantly improve the vision and symptoms of these patients, unlike traditional treatments and glasses. Being diagnosed with an eye condition can be difficult. I walk through all available treatment options with each patient and answer important questions in order to create their care plan. I want the patient to feel invested in their care and know that I'm invested just as much.
In Ohio State's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, I'm the division director for the optometry division. We use the most up-to-date technology for specialty medical contact lenses. The department has the technology to map the front surface of the eye and take impression molds of the eye to aid in fitting specialty lenses. Ohio State is one of about 80 locations in the US utilizing these technologies.
The community of faculty, staff and students at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center makes working here very special. Care teams work together to find the best outcome and treatment for each patient. We're constantly evolving to provide the best care and technology to our patients to improve their vision and condition.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and building LEGO sets with my son.

Love Dr Stephanie Pisano. Would not consider going anywhere else for my eye exams. She is amazing--especially for someone like me who has severe health anxiety. She takes the time to make sure she answers all questions and lets me know if she does/doesn't have any concerns with my eyes. Great bedside manner, most docs are irritated and impatient with those with health anxiety, certainly not Dr Pisano!
