Biography

I love my job as a board-certified family nurse practitioner because I am passionate about helping people achieve optimal physical and mental health. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I provide preventive care and help patients manage chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid problems, and depression and anxiety.

The most rewarding part of my job is the opportunity to build long -lasting relationships with my patients and their families. It is an honor to take care of multiple people in the same family and get to know them and their cultures on a personal level.

I am also proud to help prepare future clinicians for careers in patient care. I have precepted dozens of nurse practitioners, and medical and physician assistant students, and I serve as a mentor to new nurse practitioners in the clinic.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and exploring new things with my husband. We love spending time with our six children, 10 grandchildren and our dog, Chance.
