About Me

In addition to my expertise in minimally invasive surgery, my area of specialty is colon and rectal surgery. I chose to specialize in this field as it provides the unique ability to provide all aspects of care — medical, surgical and endoscopic interventions.

Being part of a large university center like Ohio State enables me to do more for my patients. Working as a team, we can provide individualized, multidisciplinary care for complex medical conditions such as rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Our team of physicians, researchers and more work together to create a targeted plan specific to you and your disease.

I appreciate the collegial environment, strong sports culture and research support. I also enjoy the opportunity to interact with young professionals, which gives me an opportunity to share my expertise and learn from others, too.

In my free time, I relax with my family and enjoy the outdoors.

Sufficiently answered all questions, referred me back to PI-MD for continuing care for my issues & meds. It would have been nice to have had his expertise to inform me/educate me extending beyond my own questions of concerns. But overall, I have no complaints. Dr. Husain is a very good doctor.
