Biography
As section chief of geriatrics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I have extensive experience in completing and supervising clinical evaluations of older adults in a variety of clinical care settings. My academic background is in health services research and program development – both serve as the foundation of my expertise in chronic disease epidemiology, clinical case adjudication, as well as survey and Medicare claims-based data analysis. I have been a co-investigator on the Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT) since 2012, where I explored the complex relationship between cardiovascular comorbidity and the presence of geriatric syndromes (such as falls, cognitive impairment) in health outcomes. I have been a co-investigator with faculty in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, Hematology-Oncology, Neurology, and in the schools of Nursing, Public Affairs, Public Health, and Social Work.

Excellent
Professional and friendly
One of the best healthcare professionals I've had. Knowledgeable, great bedside manner. Warm and professional both.
She's good
Was seen quickly
Wonderful. Seen Dr Gure for many years. Listens and discusses options for meds and care. I appreciate and trust her support knowledge and care. and
She is professional, concerned, communicative, thorough, compassionate, easy to talk to, and Is always pleasant. Dr. Gure is the best doctor I have ever worked with.
Even though Dr Gure was a bit late to my appointment, she apologized and was immediately up to speed on my health issue. She didn't rush through my meeting and gave me the time I needed.
This was my first time being seen by Dr. Gure, as this was a sick visit. She addressed my primary concerns and as she was reviewing my medical records noticed recent labs that indicated low potassium levels tied to one of my medications. Although my regular PCP prescribed both the meds and labs and noted the low measures, she left my meds unchanged. I explained to Dr. Gure that the only medical advice my regular PCP Dr. Vondra had given me was to try to eat more foods high in potassium, she took action and adjusted my meds to address the underlying cause of the low potassium. Additionally, while conducting the history and physical, she noticed severe blockages in both ears. I explained that I had the constant sensation of listening under water and popping, which I'd previously shared with other providers, including Dr. Vondra, but Dr. Gure again took action and referred me to audiology. I left with my primary health issue addressed satisfactorily and other persisting concerns addressed. I was so pleased with my experience with that I inquired if she was taking new patients.
Very good
