Biography

I am a speech-language pathologist (SLP), specializing in the assessment and treatment of communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. My speech-language pathology practice at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center focuses on providing individualized, evidence-based care for hospitalized patients who have speech, language, cognitive and swallowing rehabilitation needs.

I believe the best outcomes are achieved through a patient-centered approach that combines clinical expertise, current research and each patient's personal goals. I work closely with patients, families and interdisciplinary care teams to develop treatment plans that support recovery, independence and quality of life.

My clinical interests include cognitive-communication disorders, swallowing disorders and instrumental swallowing assessments. I am certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and hold advanced training in the evaluation and management of dysphagia. I am committed to staying current with emerging evidence and best practices, in order to provide high-quality care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

I earned both my Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and my Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology, from The Ohio State University. During my graduate-level training, I completed clinical experiences in inpatient rehabilitation and in pediatric and outpatient settings, which helped shape my collaborative, comprehensive approach to patient care.
