Biography
As a critical care nurse practitioner in the neuroscience critical care unit, I treat patients with diseases like ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, neuromuscular crisis, traumatic brain injury, subdural hemorrhage and brain and spine tumors. I also see more general critical care conditions such as sepsis, shock, heart failure, myocardial infarction and pneumonia.
I use a philosophic approach to patient care that incorporates diagnostic reasoning to avoid errors and make sure that patients have the best outcomes. I’m passionate about providing efficient, well-coordinated care to my critically ill patients.
I have worked at Ohio State as a nurse practitioner since 2006 and enjoy all the resources that are available at our disposal to take care of complex patients. I also enjoy working with our group of neurocritical care nurse practitioners and physicians.
When I’m not working, I enjoy long-distance running, triathlons and spending time with my family. I’m also pursuing my PhD in nursing.
