Biography

I am a board-certified physician associate at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I provide comprehensive medical assessments and ongoing medical management for patients admitted to the behavioral health crisis center. With 17 years of experience in emergency medicine and additional per-dem work in family medicine, I bring advanced clinical judgment and a broad medical background to the multidisciplinary care team. My role focuses on evaluating and managing both acute and chronic medical conditions, while working collaboratively with psychiatric providers, nursing staff and behavioral health clinicians.

I chose a career in medicine because I’ve always been drawn to helping people during some of the most vulnerable and uncertain moments in their lives. Working in emergency medicine has shown me the value of calm, skilled decision-making under pressure, and the importance of treating every patient with respect and compassion. Over time, I’ve learned that good medicine isn’t just about diagnosing and treating illness; it’s about listening, explaining and partnering with patients, so that they feel heard and supported.

My experiences in the field and in academia have strengthened my clinical judgment and deepened my commitment to teaching and mentorship. Mentoring students and new providers reminds me of the importance of clear communication and compassion in patient care. These experiences have guided me toward roles where I can combine hands-on medicine with education and leadership.
